Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 officially presented
Shortly before the start of Mobile World Congress 2013, Samsung officially introduced the new Galaxy Note 8.0, a tablet that wants to be located between the Galaxy Note and Note 10.1 and will compete directly with the Apple iPad Mini, to be launched in a few months.

Galaxy Note 8.0: Specs
Looking at the design and specifications of the Galaxy Note 8.0, we see that it looks like a Galaxy Note 2 but larger. Its aesthetics are very similar, with great elegance and style and rounded edges, while its specifications are almost the same.
The new tablet comes with an 8-inch screen with a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels and a pixel density of 189 ppi, both parameters far from full HD screens that are coming this year with resolutions of 1080 and a pixel density exceeding comfortably the 440 ppi.

As for the processor, we find a chip Exynos 4412 quad core at 1.6 GHz, which is accompanied by 2 GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB of internal memory, expandable to 64 GB with micro SD cards.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 also incorporates a 5 megapixel main camera, which comes with a built-in IR emitter to transform the device into a remote control, flash, autofocus and the ability to record videos at 1080p, and a 1.3 megapixel front for videoconferencing.
Despite its large screen, this tablet is surprisingly only 7.95 mm thick and weighs 338 grams, which is even more remarkable when you consider that the device incorporates a huge 4600 mAh battery.
As usual in the line Note, the Note 8.0 includes an improved S-Pen with a lot of features such as S Note, S Planner, e-mail integration for handwriting; Quick Command; Easy Clip, Photo Note; Paper Artist, Air View, Popup Note, Popup Video; Shape Match, Formula Match, Idea Sketch, and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean as the operating system along with the classic TouchWiz interface.
In addition, this device incorporates features for file sharing such as AllShare Play, AllShare Cast, AllShare Framework and in terms of connectivity, we find WiFi 802.11 a / b / g / n 2.4 and 5 GHz, WiFi Direct, AllShareCast, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, GPS and typical sensors.
Galaxy Note 8.0: Availability
While not yet known the price at which Samsung will commercialize the Galaxy Note 8.0, we know that the tablet will go on sale during the second quarter of this year and will surely compete with the iPad Mini that Apple plans to launch middle of this year.
